SMNC 2021 Winter Season Commences

Friday 30th April – Saturday 28th August 2021
(Finals 4-18/9/2021)

In line with the State Government and Netball WA – Return to Netball in WA
changes will continue into the 2021 Netball Season.
Please read all of the *requirements for TRAINING and GAMES detailed below
(including SMNC COVID-19 Plan linked below).

Training

All training starts week commencing Tuesday 20th April 2021 – a big thank you in advance to all of our amazing Coaches and Managers for the great efforts they will go to in ensuring everyone’s health and safety in-line with the COVID-19 requirements.

The following proposed details are based on current information/requirements and is subject to change.  Please monitor the website for updates.

To ensure sufficient spacing, training will be conducted Tuesday – Thursday, for no more than 1 hour, on the St Mark’s Junior Netball Courts and Senior Netball Courts.  Training days and times for each group are listed in the relevant tabs above: NetSetGo and Juniors.

Please ensure WATER BOTTLES only are brought to and consumed at training.

Training may run over the July School Holidays (TBC) – enter and exit through Gate 2 on St Marks Drive.

Y2 – 3:30pm Wednesdays
Y3 – 3:30pm Thursdays

Y4 – 3:30pm Tuesdays

Members must vacate SMACS by 5pm

SMACS July School Holidays – 2/7-26/7

Training Dates during this period: 6-8/7, 13-15/7, 20-22/7

Managers, in consultation with Coaches, will need to liaise with their teams to determine if training will go ahead during the holidays.

Games

Note to every player’s Family
PLEASE SHOW RESPECT to all people – from the volunteers on the gates to the umpires and the WDNA officials (also volunteers).  A SMNC COVID Officer will be checking that all SMNC Members have scanned the SafeWA app either upon entry or at the nominated court (or have completed the sign-in sheet).
They will report to WDNA that all of our members have complied with this requirement at every game!

Please ensure players have sufficient water and food if required.

2021 Winter Season will run over the extra SMACS July School Holidays.  Details are in the Coaches and Managers tab.

FRIDAY
5.15pm – Y2 (U8) and Y3 (U9) COVID Officer – Shannon Peppercorn
6.30pm –  Y4 (U10) COVID Officers – Krischelle & Paul McCallum

Note for NSG Go (U10) Y4: Goal post height will now be the same height as full rules – 3.05m (10ft) and ball size 5.
All other modified rules for the NSG-GO Y3 competition will remain the same as outlined in the WDNA Policies and Procedures Manual.

SATURDAY
11s (Y5) – 8.30am COVID Officer – Jen Metcalfe
12s (Y6) & 13s (Y7) – 10:00am COVID Officer – Hilton Smith
15s (Y8) – 11:30am N/A

Note: 11U do not play for points, nor finals.

Goal post pads must be wiped down at the beginning of use with disinfectant wipes or spray.

SMACS July School Holidays – 2/7-26/7

General Byes – 4-5/6, 2-3/7 & 9-10/7

Game 9 – 16-17/7

Game 10 – 23-24/7

We enjoy an extra week which means that teams may have players away for Games 9 &/or 10.  Managers will need to check availability of their players to determine if teams need to merge or forfeit.  Further information will be provided shortly.
